Those of Little Faith.......In Our Government

People in Russia know that this former head of the KGB and leader of Russia has a lot to answer for.  This week Barack Obama gave this man unprecedented power in the world by allowing him to show his "reasonable side".

Vladimir Putin was learning how to kill someone with a pencil so that it looks like an accident while Barack Obama was learning to blow his own nose.  For all that is said about and against Mr. Putin, he at least is clear on his faith and is very clear as to which country in the world he represents.  Barack Obama certainly isn't.   At every turn, Mr. Obama doesn't like America very much. He has lined it up for major changes and for "fundamental transformation" as if it's a haircut. He is a chum of the Muslim Brotherhood, no doubt a result of having Muslim family members and having grown up and gone to school in Indonesia, a Muslim country.  On Obama's watch more and more jobs have left our nation for international pastures. Our dollar has become weaker. Our Standard and Poors rating has decreased.  The dream job in the United States, if you can get it, is part time, not full time.  Our students who graduate from college with highly regarded degrees can't find jobs......even when they are willing to move anywhere in the country !   Now, companies close and their long term workers often never find work again. Then only business growing in the US are food banks !  Mr. Obama is not content to destroy the economy and whatever political standing the US has in the world. He focused also on our healthcare system, you know, the one that had so many innovative ideas that physicians from all over the world used to come here to learn of cutting edge techniques, procedures, and equipment that was developed here.  Physicians came as residents and fellows in order to learn from us and take that level of expertise home to share with their own patients and countrymen.  Rather than helping to make careful adjustments which would have improved access for Americans with limited money, he is destroying the entire health system inching us toward a system administered by our Internal Revenue Service. If you had ever told me that Barack Obama would structure a health care system in which the IRS would be making decisions which constitute practicing medicine, I would have suggested you get psychiatric help !   The fact is, Congress and the House were too busy having lunches and flying to nice spots on our dollars to prevent the whole mess from passing without being read item by item and line by line before it was passed.  Our country was on the ropes thanks in part to Barack Obama fairly nicely anyway, and the happenings of this week pretty much confirmed the perceptions of the world.   Mr. Obama insists that Bashar Assad of Syria should be punished for his regime's use of chemical weapons causing the death of 1400 of his own citizens.  This might make sense if numerous reports provided by the Russians and others hadn't already indicated that the rebels had broken into and were in possession of some of the many stores of chemical weapons in the possession of the Syrian government.   It might make sense if you could single out Assad for punishment.  Unfortunately, Barack Obama doesn't understand that to punish Syria for the death of 1400 people using chemical weapons, that even a surgical strike will kill innocent people like you and I.  You know the type, the woman who is in labor, whose baby is breech and so she must be out heading to a hospital just before the bombings start.  The man whose child is dehydrated from diarrhea who has to get to a pharmacy for Unicef rehydration solution, or the man who finally earned enough this week to get some bread for his family, coincidentally while a bombing starts in a place our government mistakenly thinks is a government building. Collateral damage always occurs. It is a given.  War actions must occur only when every last option has been exhausted, and only when it directly threatens the United States.
The only reason such a strike has not occurred is that our chief diplomat, Vietnam war opposer John Kerry spoke out of turn when badgered by a journalist and said in passing, "Sure, Assad could turn over all of his nations chemical weapons", and Russia ran with that.   It was Sergei Lavrov and Vladimir Putin who appeared to save the day by convincing Bashar Assad that by turning in whatever percentage of chemical weapons he could locate in his country that he could sidestep Barack Obama's plan to "teach him a lesson" with a surgical strike by air.  This has very serious implications.  Our president now appears to the entire world as a simpleton who unilaterally bangs a war drum when he hasn't exhausted all other possibilities.  Russia's Putin appears to be "the reasonable thinking man".   What happens when Putin suggests with all his new found credibility that the world departs from the dollar as the World's Reserve Currency and adopts the Russian ruble ?   The US would then have to pay for everything it buys outside the country, and this would slow our ability to obtain supplies for manufacture.  Oh, I forgot. There isn't much manufacture going on in the US. Obama sent it away because he thought it might help with global warming.   In one fell swoop this week, there was a changing of the guard.  We watched Russia become the reasonable entity while the American president sounded like a misguided ass.
Somebody with a spine please impeach this joker before he gives away the Liberty Bell, the city of Boston, and the Library of Congress !

The American voters sent a two term community organizer/profession campaigner up against a professional, we are getting what we deserve. Progressive America pushed the self destruct button. The important thing is to be prepared for possible outcomes and not be one of the losers when this experiment in stupidity comes to a conclusion.

And yet he pretty much has protected himself from impeachment by having an even more incompetent ass (and probably senile as well) for a VP.

Well put! Both Kerry and Obama do appear as a couple of wimps!

"Russia's Putin appears to be 'the reasonable thinking man'"

I think there was a song back in the 80's that predicted this and sums your thoughts nicely:

If you're blue,
and you don't know
where to go to,
why don't you go to
where fashion sits?

"Putin" on the Ritz

Unfortunately, as much as I see a train wreck coming, I am not sure how to build myself a train-wreck proof house !

Yes, I have long said that VP Biden, who revealed the location of the White House and VP bunker to gasps by the media at a press conference, is probably suffering from dementia.

I don't understand why Mr. Obama, and Mr. Biden cannot be removed for incompetence. Mr. Kerry needs a kick in the behind for not exploring the possibility of gathering the weapons if that was agreeable to them. (Frankly to me, it isn't really. They can keep whatever they want and turn in whatever they feel like)

You know, I liked that song at the time, and did not realize until watching Jeeves and Wooster, that it was a hit also in the 1930s.
Obama needs advisors who will tell him the truth rather than coddle him.

Jane,

We are our worst enemy in so many ways!

It was also featured in the 70's black and white comedy "young Frankenstein" where the monster did a lurching style tap dance to this song.

After watching this weeks complete fiasco by the administration I think we could have a remake of this scene with "John Kerry" playing the part of the monster lurching around...

How embarrassing. These people are supposed to be our best, and our brightest.

I am starting to wish that an IQ test should be administered before Americans can vote. LOL

Now that is the smartest thing I have heard yet. Too many folks smoking pot these days. I don't even want to see the next election. Both Biden & Clinton are rumored to run for the WH. Shudder

At least he IS a man, as opposed to the joke we have a president. Granted, Putin is a man that should be SHOT, but at least he's a man.

I'm just thankful for the great weather here.

He is a man who is a despot. No less than 17 people who have stood in opposition to Mr. Putin have died under suspicious circumstances. Alexander Litvinenko is only one of those. I have no illusions here, but at least Mr. Putin knows which country he works for.

I have learned in life to be grateful for such things.
