The East Coast Meteor

My husband made a run to the store last evening on an uncharacteristically cold night for this time of year.  He was shocked as he noted a white fireball in the sky which lit the area around him brighter than a full moon, and in a manner reminiscent of the recent Russian meteor.

This is our post and links from another one of our blogs:

He was very happy to have seen it. He said that he would have been frightened had he not seen video again and again of the Russian meteor. I have only ever seen one sparkler like Meteor at the last farm in the Winter of 2000. I was afraid it would catch the forest on fire, but it kept on going. I have seen a few shooting stars especially in Fall, but my husband gets the prize here for the person who has seen the the largest meteor. Our daughter is so jealous !

Jane,

It's so amazing to be able to see the meteor flying through the sky. Thank God no one was injured from it. Beautiful picture of your sweet little boy Daniel. God Bless little Daniel.

Yes, we were lucky here on Earth that no one was injured. Thank you for mentioning Daniel. He left us in 2008, so he would be 17 in May. I am sure God keeps him close !
