I first learned of this at:
http://freenorthcarolina.blogspot.com/2012/12/boy-uses-dads-ar-15-to-shoot-invader.html
The incident described in this newsclip happened a year ago. I am certainly glad the fifteen year old boy had access and experience with the AR-15, and was able to defend himself and his sister. I hate to think what may have happened if he hadn't.
An AR-15 doesn't look like an "evil weapon" to me. I suppose it depends whose holding it, just like a knife, a drill,a scalpel, or a circular saw.
In England, he'd have gone to jail just for hitting them with a broom handle!

Jane,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the young man protecting his sister knew how to handle this gun.
You're totally correct Jane, it depends on the person holding the gun or any other weapon.
Sandy, Thanks for posting. You, your family and especially your Dad remain in our prayers this holiday. Merry Christmas.
DeleteSo glad your book is getting the attention it deserves.
ReplyDeleteOff topic but I wished to wish you a very Merry Christmas.
Thanks Brigid, "Rational Preparedness:A A Primer to Preparedness" was released at the end of October, 2012, and "What I Learned from Daniel" was released at the end of November. I know they are each being distributed worldwide, but I don't know how well they are doing. I hope each book helps many people. Merry Christmas !
